We are dedicated to making sure our community feels safe and accepted, no matter their age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, appearance, race, religion, nationality, or socioeconomic status. No forms of harassment will be tolerated, which can include offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of workshops or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention, whether in person or online. Anyone engaging in this type of behavior will be warned and/or ejected from the event without a refund at the organizer’s discretion.
Please reach out to staff or our teachers if you have a safety concern. Queer Swing Seattle staff have undergone trainings on best practices for handling safety or conduct concerns. We will always take you at your word, respect your privacy and take your concern seriously. If you need to anonymously report a concern, we will have a "Safe Space Ambassador" who is assigned at our dances and classes that you can share you concerns with without the staff knowing you shared the concern.
